In wake boarding the boarder has to ride and balance himself/herself on the wakeboard while riding on the water surface. The wakeboard is tied behind a boat with the help of Wakeboard Bindings. The boat pulls you along and you have to maintain your balance and maneuver your wakeboard accordingly.Wake boarding is actually not an original concept, but it was formulated by combining three other sport techniques, that of water skiing, snow boarding and surfing. The wakeboard is pulled along behind a boat. Generally the boat’s speed is maintained at 15-25 miles per hour, depending upon the age and skills of the wake boarder, and also on number of other conditions, like rider’s weight, height, water conditions, etc.

To be able to perform wake boarding efficiently, one must have a good quality wakeboard and bindings. A good quality wakeboard allows you to maneuver smoothly and efficiently on the water surface and helps in maintaining your balance. A good quality wakeboard is of ideal width. A very thick whiteboard makes it difficult to maneuver the board as it gets heavy and a very thin Wakeboard makes it difficult to maintain balance and can easily upturn. Also, a good quality binding is of equal importance as it ensures your safety by keeping you securely bound to the towing boat.

It is highly important to be a skilled skier before you take to deep waters. The speed of water skiing is quite high which can be as high as 50 miles per hour. A mere tumble or imbalance can lead to sever consequences like drowning, serious face and knee injuries. Good skills and proper water skiing equipments can help you prevent accidents.A life jacket is of utmost importance as at a high speed when you loose your balance, it is very difficult to come above the water surface yourself, which can lead to drowning. Use a good quality fiber glass skis that are sturdy and support your weight.Select the length of the skis depending upon skills and style of skiing. It is always advisable to use long and wide skis in the beginning. This helps you in better manoeuvring and support. From the three types of skis, Slalom Pairs, Combination Pairs and Trick Skis, go for combination skis as they are easiest to use and provide better control.

If you have grown sick and tired with the idea of holidaying by the seaside and lying in the sun all day long, you need to become more acquainted with the possibilities that could make your holiday perfect. Parasailing is an aquatic sport that allows you to admire the view from 300 feet. The view will leave you breathless considering the location: the Whitsundays Region, Australia. Seventy-four islands located in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, known worldwide for its impressive marine wildlife. Whitsundays parasailing is an option for everyone. If you tried diving, swimming, snorkeling, sailing, you definitely need to try parasailing and get another clue on what having fun means. Another thing you might enjoy when parasailing is the light feeling of weightlessness, above the surreal scenery.

Because the natural surroundings allow it, most of the vacation activities take place in the open air. Whitsundays parasailing can bring you closer to one of man’s all time dreams: flying. You can feel the cool breeze on your skin; admire the almost monumental palm trees that bow at every wave and that caress the white sand beaches. Parasailing is an all-sense experience. Such an activity is compulsory when it comes to going on vacation in order to forget about everything else and everyone else. You must have something to remember; something that has affected your every perception. Whitsundays parasailing is the utmost holiday sport that offers nothing but fun and satisfaction.

Age doesn’t matter. How much of it can you take? Do you feel the adrenaline rush already?

Children of all ages can take up this sport – water skiing. But remember do not play the game before knowing the rules. That is, take care to know everything if you are a beginner.

The first timers have to go to a few places like a lake side where you would feel relaxed and at ease. This is the best places to start off.

The basics of body position, the movements and other nuances should be first learnt on land and then experimented. Once the confidence sets in you can test the waters.

A static boom is set along the moat when a new comer tests the sport. This helps the instructor to understand your movements and help you accordingly.

Everyone loves to remember the first day they headed for the water and this is especially true to small beginners. But a small mishap deters the person from attempting the next time. That’s why it is crucial to know how the environment works before you just get into the sport.

Children are more vulnerable to accidents and so a second instructor is usually around to give the required attention, confidence and emotional support.

Safety first, speed next. There are enough and more good schools around for water skiing and helps a long way.

If you have an acquaintance with you for water skiing, make you do it in a private area, to avoid those unnecessary distractions. This lets you concentrate on the sport evenly.

Water skiing instructors are always there to ensure your first experience was a very memorable one and that you will be back soon.

So what are you waiting for, the waters are calling, pack your bags and head to the nearest ski resort and check your levels of adrenaline. You might have missed something in life
